What a year it’s been! 2024 has flown by faster than an accountant with a deadline and a double espresso. It’s been a jam-packed 12 months for us at Aedon.Accounting, full of launches, exhibitions, partnerships, and even an international adventure or two. So, grab a cuppa and let me walk you through some of our proudest moments from the past year.

Launched Aedon.Franchising and Aedon.Charities

Yes, we’ve been busy. This year saw the launch of not one, but two fantastic products designed to make the lives of accountants and finance teams a whole lot easier.

First up, Aedon.Franchising – an accounting solution designed specifically for franchisors and franchisees. Built on Salesforce, it lets both parties track their finances in real time, keeping things transparent and (more importantly) dispute-free. No more financial tug-of-war – just smooth, seamless accounting.

Then we launched Aedon.Charities, an accounting solution tailored for, you guessed it, charities. We know charity fund accounting can be as tangled as a box of last year’s Christmas lights, so we created software that handles restricted and unrestricted funds, SORP compliance, and more, with ease. Honestly, we think it’s a game-changer.

Attended The National Franchise Exhibition

In September, we packed our bags (and our best pitch lines) and headed off to the National Franchise Exhibition. And let me tell you, the energy there was electric. Franchisors and franchisees were out in full force, and it was clear that the franchise world is buzzing with opportunity.

We learned a lot – mainly that while franchisors are laser-focused on contracts, manuals, and branding, they often forget about IT and accounting infrastructure. And that’s where Aedon.Franchising comes to the rescue. We had some brilliant conversations and came back feeling inspired. If you want the full lowdown, check out our blog post here.

Partnered with Some Amazing Partners

2024 was a year for building relationships, and we couldn’t be more chuffed about the partnerships we formed. Two in particular stand out:

• Supermums: A fantastic organisation helping mums (and dads!) retrain and upskill in Salesforce. We’re thrilled to support their mission and help talented people get into the world of tech and finance.
• SmarterPay: Payment processing can be a pain, but with SmarterPay, it’s a breeze. They’ve helped us integrate direct debit collections and bulk payment solutions into our software, making life easier for everyone.

A huge thank you to our partners – we couldn’t have done it without you!

CEO Trip to India

One of my personal highlights this year was finally getting the chance to visit our incredible development team in Gujarat, India. We’ve been working together for nearly six years, but thanks to the pandemic, this was my first trip out there. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait.

The iTech Cloud Team has been instrumental in developing our core Aedon.Accounting product and our new Aedon.Charities software. Seeing the team in person, sharing ideas, and (of course) enjoying some top-notch Indian food was a brilliant experience. Here’s to many more years of collaboration!
