10 Reasons Why Aedon.Accounting is a Great Choice for Salesforce Users
Why is the Salesforce Platform so suited to Finance?
Aedon.Accounting delivers finance functionality comprehensive. The native Salesforce capabilities allow that functionality to be extended and customised in ways that is not possible with conventional accounting software.

The Finance Department is full of approval processes from the annual budget, to a purchase order or expenses. The native Salesforce approval functionality allows users with a Reviewer licence to approve all manner of financial transactions and records that approval with any thoughts, caveats and comments for future reference.
Salesforce Flows have endless possibilities, but are perfectly suited to Credit Control. On a positive note they can send a prompt to the Account Manager to thank a customer for paying a large invoice on time. Everyone likes a thank you.
But automating the credit-chasing Dunning process according to your company’s rules is a great application. Do you want to chase “good” payers and “bad” payers in the same way. Of course not. By creating simple Boolean rules, you can create an automated flow of credit chasing emails according to the customer’s previous history and the size of the invoice that you are chasing.
Your business is different from everyone else’s. The ability to add new fields and objects to tailor the financial processes around your business needs is so valuable. Capturing non-financial KPIs for example or adding new fields to a Sales Invoice is straightforward in Salesforce.
Management Information Dimensions in Aedon are so much more powerful than ordinary accounting systems. In Xero or Sage a reporting Dimension is simply a label, that is all you can add. In Aedon you add the label and then associate that label with up to 500 pieces of additional management information linking to customers, suppliers, internal users or other objects inside or outside of Salesforce. The reporting power is enormous.
Management Information should be constantly evolving as the business changes. Salesforce Reports and Dashboards can be created quickly and easily with minimal training and fulfil all the attributes of good reporting data:
Migrating to Aedon.Accounting
We recommend migrating from your existing software around a VAT quarter-end, rather than the financial year end, although if both coincide that is a happy coincidence.
The VAT quarter makes a perfect project timeline allowing sufficient time for planning and reflection of the new management information capabilities that Aedon.Accounting will undoubtedly. The 5 weeks after the end of the VAT quarter and prior to the submission of the final VAT report on the old financial system provide a sensible period of parallel running.
Each migration is different according to the complexity of your requirements and business structure and the number of integrations. But a typical migration planning will have the following structure.

From ground zero to a £1 million Annual Recurring Revenue in less than 12 months.
Shaun Weeks approached Aedon with the germ of an idea, “to create a contractor management business for the thriving delivery market”.
The team from Aedon worked with Shaun before he even had funding to build this technology-based business .The first phase required a working prototype to manage the inflow of new clients before the Aedon.Client Accounting solution was ready. The initial sales successes could not be constrained by technology obstacles and it wasn’t.
Now, less than 12 months later, the full Salesforce system is working end-to-end: from Driver Onboarding to Weekly Paysheet processing, Quarterly VAT Returns and Annual Tax Statements. Most importantly, the flow of new clients continues and the £1 Million Annual Recurring landmark has been shattered in record time.
The solution is completely grounded in Salesforce
“Aedon have walked with us for every step of the journey. Our technology offers us a clear advantage over our established competitors and combined with an obsessive customer service culture provides a clear competitive advantage that is driving our sales success.“
