I am delighted to announce that Aedon.Accounting has achieved Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) accreditation, a significant milestone that underscores our commitment to security and excellence in financial management. This accreditation, a requirement for our PSD Payment Services, enhances our capabilities and sets us apart from other accounting software providers.

One of the standout features enabled by this accreditation is our automated bank feed integration with Yapily. This feature allows our users to benefit from up-to-date banking information, refreshed five times daily. Starting at 8am and then refreshing every two hours, our system automatically updates your bank statement details, providing a live feed into your bank account. This means you no longer need to log in to your bank account to check if payments have been received. Unlike other software such as Xero, which only refreshes once per day, our system ensures your bank statements are always current.

The benefits of this real-time banking integration are manifold. First and foremost, it significantly enhances your ability to stay on top of your bank reconciliation, which is crucial for maintaining control over your business finances. With accurate, up-to-date information, you can make informed decisions quickly and efficiently, improving overall financial management.

Achieving FCA accreditation was no small feat. We had to comply with stringent security standards, including obtaining ISO 27001 certification, which is essential for IT companies. Joel Quick, our dedicated Customer Success Manager, led this project, and his hard work over the course of four months ensured we met all the necessary requirements. The first question the FCA asks is about our security measures, and having ISO 27001 certification was crucial to passing this scrutiny.
