Making Changes to a Purchase Refund: Editing, Unposting & Deleting a Purchase Refund

Purchase Refunds CANNOT be Edited, they can only be Deleted, after they have first been Unreconciled and Unposted.

Once the Purchase Refund is deleted, the Amount Outstanding on the Purchase Credit will be increased by the amount of the Purchase Refund.

Step-By-Step Guide

1. 1. Unreconcile the Purchase Refund, see Unreconciling Purchase Payments
   2. Select the Purchase Refund, there are 2 options:
      • From the Purchase Refund List View
      • From the Purchase Payment History of the relevant Purchase Credit
   3. Click Unpost
   4. Click Delete

Once the Purchase Refund has been Unposted, the Posting Status will show as Draft, and the Editing Status will show as Unrestricted.

Note that a Deleted Transaction will be saved in the list of Transactions with the Posting Status Deleted to preserve the audit trail.
