Refunding a Sales Payment on Account

Refunding a Sales Payments on Account creates a Sales Refund and uses-up the value of the Payment on Account.

Sales Refunds can only be made from Bank Accounts of the same currency as the Payment on Account.

A Sales Refunds creates new Ledger Entries. See the Sales Refund for details.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. From the Sales Menu, select Payments on Accounts Sub-Menu, and then select the required Payment on Account.
  2. Scroll down the page to the Make a Refund Section.
  3. Enter the Amount to be refunded, the Date it will be paid and which Bank Account it will be paid from.
  4. Optionally add a Reference.
  5. Optionally edit the Exchange Rate, which has been defaulted from the Currency Exchange Rates.
  6. Click Make Refund.

The Refunded Amount in the Header Section will show how much of the Payment on Account has been repaid.

Click on the Refund History to show the Sales Refund details.
