Creating New Tax Codes
Use a Reference
We recommend that you use an existing VAT Code as a reference on a second screen before creating any new Codes.
Review the Tax Codes article before creating any new ones.
Step-by-Step Process
- Select Tax and the Tax Codes Sub-Menu
- Click on New
- Enter the mandatory fields: Tax Code, Rate, Description, Type, Product Type, Category, Additional Category
- Tailor the Examples to suit your business
- Check EC if relevant (no longer for the UK!)
- Make Active
- Click Save
